Every practice has a story, and every story begins with a person who had a vision.
For Inspired Healing Therapy, that person is Kaitlynn Morelli, CEO, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist (BC-DMT), and National Certified Counselor (NCC).
What began in 2017 as a private-pay, in-home therapy practice has grown into the thriving, multidisciplinary group practice Inspired Healing Therapy is today. While much has changed over the years, one thing has remained the same: Kaitlynn's commitment to creating a space where people feel safe, supported, and empowered to heal.
This month, we're excited to introduce you to the therapist, leader, and visionary behind Inspired Healing Therapy.
From a Dream to a Growing Community
When asked how long she's been with Inspired Healing Therapy, Kaitlynn laughs:
"From the very beginning 😉."
Inspired Healing Therapy started as a solo private practice providing in-home therapy services throughout the community. Since then, it has grown into a practice that brings together clinicians with diverse specialties, united by a shared commitment to compassionate, client-centered care.
Watching that growth has been incredibly meaningful, but the mission has always remained the same: helping people reconnect with themselves and live more inspired lives.
Finding the Right Path
Kaitlynn always knew she wanted to work in a helping profession.
She jokes that becoming a doctor or nurse wasn't in the cards because she was "terrified of blood." But when she discovered Dance/Movement Therapy, everything clicked.
"Once I found out about dance/movement therapy, I knew very clearly that was the best path for me."
That discovery continues to shape the way she practices today.
A Holistic Approach to Healing
Kaitlynn specializes in working with women (18+) navigating significant life transitions. Whether someone is processing trauma, managing anxiety, or moving through a season of change, she creates space for clients to explore healing in ways that honor both the mind and body.
Her work blends:
Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Somatic approaches
Dance/Movement Therapy
Trauma-informed care
Positive Psychology
Rather than following the same structure every session, Kaitlynn believes therapy should be individualized.
"We might spend one session on the floor meditating, another shaking our anger out, and another sharing a cup of tea on the couch."
Healing isn't one-size-fits-all—and neither is therapy.
Creating a Space to Simply Be
When asked what creating a safe space means to her, Kaitlynn's answer reflects the heart of Inspired Healing Therapy.
"I always want to create a space with meaningful intention. A space where people can truly be themselves and come as they are without needing to pretend."
Her therapy style is best described as:
Warm. Comfortable. Intuitive.
Clients often tell her they finally felt understood—that someone truly saw them and offered the support they needed to feel safe enough to move forward.
For Kaitlynn, those moments are among the greatest privileges of her work.
Witnessing Transformation
One of the most meaningful parts of being a therapist is witnessing the hope that returns when clients begin believing change is possible.
She shares:
"Seeing the change and progress in my clients who had previously stated it was impossible. What a joy to witness the light come back in their eyes after they looked for me in the dark."
That belief in each person's ability to heal guides everything she does.
"Everyone has the tools within them to heal themselves. I am simply a guide to help light the path and illuminate their potential."
Beyond the Therapy Room
Outside of work, movement continues to play an important role in Kaitlynn's life.
After a full day of sessions, you'll often find her practicing aerial arts, dancing, doing yoga or Pilates, or curling up with a good book.
Current favorite read?
Ice Planet Barbarians.
(Her words: "Mind your business—it's a good time." 😄)
And one fun fact many people don't know?
She met her husband because he was on a reality TV show.
A Message for New Clients
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, and Kaitlynn wants every new client to know there's no "right" way to begin.
"Don't worry—you can't do it wrong. You are already on the right track by simply starting. You won't be alone. Your therapist will be right there with you along the way. You deserve to live your most inspired life."
At Inspired Healing Therapy, that belief is at the center of everything we do.
Healing doesn't require perfection.
It simply begins with showing up.
