LYDIA DI IORIO

LPC, R-DMT

I am a Registered Dance/Movement Therapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor with the state of Michigan. I received my Masters of Arts in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. My experience ranges in age, gender identity, community and clinical environments, substance abuse and addiction, and both behavioral and developmental abilities.

Therapy is a very emotional experience, so it is important to foster a safe environment for my clients by providing unconditional positive regard, and empathetic understanding. My approach is collaborative and based on goals shared with me throughout the process. Ultimately, I aim to maintain a cooperative, safe experience, and to help my clients recognize their own wisdom and strength so they can gain confidence and ownership of their life.
